February 14, 2019 (San Francisco, Ca) -- Planisware, the leading global provider of Project and Product Portfolio Management (PPM) software solutions for new product development (NPD) and engineering organizations, reported a total revenue of $80 million for the year 2018, for its sixth straight year of double-digit YOY growth; the organization's revenue has doubled over the past five years.
Planisware continues to lead the way in PPM for the NPD industry, serving more than one-third of the top 100 R&D spenders worldwide. The organization is rapidly advancing its presence in project control and engineering, IT, and mid-market NPD. More than 80 new customers selected Planisware as their PPM solution in 2018, including Saint-Gobain, Spin Master, Danfoss, and Tyson.
To better support its growing client base, Planisware recently made several pivotal expansions to its offering. In March, Planisware acquired NQI and officially became a 2-product organization. NQI's Orchestra solution provides end-to-end PPM functionality in a scalable, turnkey solution, complementing Planisware's established Enterprise offering. In July, Planisware integrated b-software to launch Planisware MIS (Managed & Integrated Services), which provides continuous customer care and service management post go-live through an expert Planisware support team. September saw the first customer environments deployed on the new 4P SaaS platform; 100% managed by Planisware, the 4P platform includes more powerful servers and additional data centers to better support the organization's rapidly growing SaaS customer base.
Planisware also introduced major product evolutions in 2018 with Planisware Enterprise V6.3, which features ergonomic and intuitive UI enhancements, key integrations, and AI capabilities such as smart multi-dimensional data management and statistical learning.
“As an organization, our highest priority is to provide top-tier solutions and services that enable our customers to get products to market” said Pierre Demonsant, CEO and co-founder of Planisware. “Our strategic decisions in 2018 were driven by this goal. With the introduction of Orchestra, we extended our best-in-class PPM software to companies seeking a mainstream, turnkey solution. Our 4P SaaS offering, combined with Managed Services, relieves IT burden on organizations and keeps our clients' implementations in optimal condition, increasing value while lowering resource cost. From a Planisware Enterprise perspective, the new features and UI design included with our V6.3 release answer the articulated needs of our customers, while leading the industry in new and innovative capabilities.”
Planisware continued its PPM Best Practices Tour in 2018, with events in Boston, San Diego, Chicago, Denver, and Montreal. The organization's User Summit North America in May drew more than 250 PPM professionals and thought leaders from 75 organizations around the world; Planisware user summits in Paris and Germany drew approximately 300 and 100 PPM professionals, respectively.
The organization was once again positioned in the Leader's quadrant in the Gartner PPM Magic Quadrant, Worldwide, 2018.
Planisware looks forward to continued success in 2019 and remains committed to fostering a strong user community with events such as its North America User Summit May 15-16 in Philadelphia, as well as regional best practice meetings throughout the year. The European operations will host user summits in Germany in June and Paris in October.
