March 27, 2018 (San Francisco, CA) – Planisware has acquired software publisher NQI to augment its cloud-based capabilities and expand its reach in the mid-size market. With NQI’s solution, Orchestra PPM, Planisware is now able to cover a broader range of needs.
NQI has been serving the PPM market since 2004. NQI’s 250-strong customer base – of which 70% are IT organizations – includes blue chip companies such as Essilor International, CMA CGM, and ArcelorMittal. Deployments range from a handful of users at the department level to company-wide deployments of several thousands of users.
For NQI to join forces with Planisware is an opportunity to access and leverage additional resources and global visibility,” explains Gilles Lavalou, CEO of NQI. “Thanks to Planisware, we have already started to expand our presence in the United States and Germany with a promising market response. We are also accelerating the development of our solution with a significant increase in R&D resources.
Among Orchestra PPM’s strengths are a business model that focuses on cloud delivery and viral adoption and deployment. Planisware’s Orchestra team is focusing its product development efforts on improving UI/UX, work management and hybrid Agile/PPM use cases. Orchestra PPM will continue to operate with dedicated development, sales and marketing teams.
The PPM market has changed, and for Planisware to reach its full potential, we need a complementary solution to enable us to respond to an even wider variety of needs and scenarios,” elaborates Pierre Demonsant, CEO and co-founder of Planisware. “Orchestra PPM will focus on delivering a solution for companies seeking a mainstream, turnkey solution, particularly in IT business units. Planisware Enterprise will continue to develop a solution that leads the market for NPD and Engineering organizations.
