0:06 - What I often see is, 0:08 almost all Agile teams start with Scrum. 0:11 Scrum is an excellent project management framework 0:15 for using an Agile approach for a co-located team 0:18 working on one product, one project at a time. 0:22 A little production support maybe, but not a lot. 0:25 So if you don't have that specific context, 0:30 Scrum by itself might not be right for you. 0:33 In that case, I really like to start 0:35 with adding a Kanban board. 0:38 How do you see all of the states of the work 0:41 and where is all the work? 0:43 And should you put Work In Progress limits, 0:46 W-I-P which I often say WIP. 0:49 I'm not talking about a whip, I'm talking about WIP. 0:52 And when teams start to see their WIP 0:55 and they start to see where the work is, 0:58 all of a sudden they have a totally 1:00 different perspective on the work. 1:02 So you can still use Scrum with a Kanban board, 1:05 you can use... 1:06 You might move to Flow entirely 1:09 and have a cadence 1:11 of "We will plan here and we will demo here 1:14 "and we will review here." 1:16 And all that stuff, that's fine. 1:18 I don't actually care what you call it, 1:20 I think it's really important to say, 1:23 "Are we getting work through our team? 1:26 "Are we delivering what we want, when we want 1:29 "and to whom we want?" 1:31 That's my kind of working definition of an Agile approach. 1:35 And if we are, great. 1:38 We don't have to do anymore. 1:39 And if we're not, we have to keep retrospecting 1:42 and figure out what do we do next.
