Time for change
Administering change is what led us to choosing Planisware Orchestra as a PPM solution tool. A combination of inconsistencies within data risen from several user experience issues, which is the point we then decided to move away from SharePoint enterprise and the tools used to capture and record data (I.e. InfoPath and SharePoint designer) and key tools going out of support. The decision was taken to invest in a PPM tool to drive efficiencies in our change management lifecycle and digital transformation.
The impact of change
The power of the database and reporting capabilities were a key requirement for us along with the delivery approach as it gave us time to decide the correct route for our reporting suite to leverage the benefits of the Orchestra database and capabilities. Considerations of this were to enable self-serve reporting off the Orchestra BI Box into our data lake to align with our Company Data Strategy and preferred reporting tools. This also provided the benefit of us being holders of our own destiny, developing reports as required rather than be reliant on external report writers. We used the analytics and reporting capabilities to inform our route for additional tools/product overlays for reporting.
