Haider Ali is a strategic, value-driven Project Controls Executive with over 20 years of international experience leading cost, schedule, estimating, risk, and change control across multi-billion-dollar mining, oil & gas, and infrastructure programs.
He has built and directed PMOs and project governance frameworks that integrate cost, schedule, and risk systems—improving forecast accuracy, executive visibility, and organizational readiness. Known for his ability to align complex, cross-functional teams with business objectives, Haider has successfully delivered projects from feasibility to commissioning and turnaround, ensuring performance excellence and risk mitigation.
Haider has held senior leadership roles with Wood PLC, Jacobs, Imperial Oil, NWR Refinery, CNRL, SNC-Lavalin, and Fluor Canada, where he led project controls strategy, portfolio optimization, and reporting standardization for capital programs exceeding $9 billion in value.
An accomplished trainer and mentor, he has conducted numerous industry seminars on project controls, risk management, delay analysis, and earned value management, and continues to shape best practices within the profession.
