May 26, 2017 (San Francisco, Ca) - Planisware, the leading global provider of Project and Product Portfolio Management (PPM) software solutions for new product development (NPD), R&D, and engineering organizations, recently won the “Special Distinction” award in the “High Tech Over $30 Million in Revenue or Funding” category at the annual French-American Business Awards in San Francisco. The annual event – hosted by the French-American Chamber of Commerce of San Francisco – honors exceptional Bay Area organizations that are French-owned and/or operated. Contenders in Planisware’s category included App Annie, Docker, SmartRecruiters, Talend and Upwork, with Talend taking home the Gold Award. Antoine Villata, CEO of Planisware North America, accepted the award on the company’s behalf.
Held at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco on May 25th, this year’s program honored 64 nominees across 11 different categories. Nominees are selected by an advisory committee based on a combination of qualitative – such as leadership, innovation, quality and diversity of operations, and social responsibility – and quantitative – including revenue and staff growth, net income, and funds raised – criteria that examine each company’s performance over three years. Once nominees are selected, a panel of 120 jury members evaluate the companies in each category during a rigorous, confidential, two-round process.
“We are honored to be recognized as a leader in the French high tech community, particularly among a field of such exceptional, innovative organizations,” said Antoine Villata, CEO of Planisware North America. “Planisware is committed to fostering a culture of diversity and we encourage our employees to move across our different offices in Europe, Asia and North America during their career. It’s this this strong, multi-cultural work environment combined with Planisware’s market leadership that puts our organization among the Bay Area elite.”
